Transient Housing for Truck Drivers in Sarjapur, Rajasthan by RC Architects – Transient housing is an attempt to create a place for the truck drivers’ community to feel at home when they are away from their homes, a place for them to relax – rejuvenate – recreate.
Studio PKA attempts to create awareness around the importance of public spaces, by proposing rejuvenation of Ballard Estate, Mumbai.
The brief for Between Spaces Architects, was to design small studio sized apartments that could be looked at as a venue for investment or an alternate home away from home for shorter durations. The project was conceptualized primarily to target the second home buyers for temporary, occasional or intermittent stay in Goa.
Plotting scheme for at Nal Village designed for Naveen Bhai is a master planning project where various amenities like club house, artificial lakes, road network, children play area etc. are dealt with. A grand opening and beautiful landscape marks the major attraction of this project. The planning was done by segmenting the area into different zones as public, semi public and private and linking each to other by the concept of spatial porosity.
Situated in fringes of Ahmedabad, the house is spread over 460 sqmt of land. The brief of the project was to design an introvert house for three generation of the family. The design idea was to respond to the climate and hence orientation. An introvert house which is opaque to the outside and open to the inside. Given the rectangular geometry of the plot, the idea was to place the functions in a linear fashion along the length with a puncture in between to bring in light and ventilation. – Urbscapes
The Admin Block is treated in such a way green fields and lush pastures interact with the building add beauty to its environment and a serene entry to the Campus away from the hustle and bustle of main road. The building plinth area covers 6,675 square feet from Site area of 7,782 Square feet. Building area is divided 40% area of mezzanine floor with soil land fill and 60% area of other floor area, with double height space grand lobby enclosed with courtyard space treated with wooden Pergola at the top helps natural light enter into the space. – The Bhargav Group
With a total built area of 60 sqm, the building form is made up from the overlapping of the letters KH which means Khmer, the official language of Cambodia, those letters give an organized pattern of form and space. The design seeks to emphasize the closeness to nature while allowing a comfortable stay indoors. – Architectural Engineering Consultants
