Reimagining Comtrust Site As A People’s Place, by Rurban Commons Collaborative, is a conscious attempt to weave various dimensions that encircle the idea of Mananchira, the city and Urbanity. The design focuses on strengthening the publicness of Manachira through social, cultural, economical and political activation of spaces.
House of Commons, by Cochin Creative Collective, is a Permeable Building- the datum, as the lifeline of the project, connects all the site edges with the built through unique, contextual gestures.

Less Is More by Arun C Babu, Sreeram K Bhasi, conceives 3 major interventions- to repurpose the factory into a culture centre, to integrate the pond into the Mananchira park, and to connect both these premises with an access.
Live Collaborate Learn by Morphemy Architects, brings together the life of Kozhikode by adaptively reusing the Comtrust Weaving Factory. The focus is to merge the old with the new, by considering the local culture and economy of the place.
Art of Scar by Bees Design LAB, proposes one of a kind working textile factory combined with a museum of comtrust, it’s looms and machinery.
Pond Grove & The Fabric by Fictional project- a proposal made in the heart of Kozhikode has to be robust in accommodating its social nature. In the spirit of being united in the face of differences, the proposal has to bring in social spaces for interaction where people feel safe and a sense of belonging.
Weaving Life- Weaving The Future, by Design Combine, transforms handloom weaving to a new-age material meant for the greatest explorations of the newest ideas of design, and making it into a high value product for the international market.
