Enjoying this entry, one arrives in Atrium which acts as a binding space for all the happening right from 24.0M. Satara Koregaon Road to the farthest point of the site on south. qThe functions are organised around this atrium with administrative ones on lower and two upper floors are for democratic functions with the council hall as crown celebrating democracy. – Satara Municipal Corporation by VEEKAS Studio.

For LIJO.RENY.architects, this project seemed like an Architect’s dream at first but upon closer understanding, of the site and the brief, revealed its complex nature. The seemingly large plot of 2.45 acres, populated with a variety of trees – small and large, was to be shared between the client and his brother, who had an existing house on site, without any compound wall in between.
Located in a leafy neighbourhood, designed by LIJO.RENY.architects, ‘The House within the Grid’ sits on a slightly elevated plot accessed by a silent road. Designed for a doctor couple and their 4 children, based in Sharjah, this house was meant as a place for relaxation, rejuvenation and bonding during their frequent visits to Kerala.
Metro Station in bamboo at Bengaluru for BMRCL by Mansaram Architects, Neelam Manjunath – Bamboo is introduced in the design to showcase its potential how a traditional fragile-looking material can be used to an in large infrastructure projects. Bamboo was introduced in response to huge amount of steel used in large infrastructure projects which lead to immense carbon emission eventually leading to global warming. In the project, Bamboo is taken to a new level in the design by incorporating it in various forms. ”Bamboo is the new steel”.

The Floating Parasol House at Thirur, Kerala, by LIJO RENY architects covers an area of 4600 Sqft and consists of three main blocks separated by open to sky/skylit courts. The first block contains the sit-out, foyer and the formal living.
