A modern young couple with two children wanted a house in contemporary style on a One Ground (2400 sq ft) plot at the busy area of Adyar in Chennai city. In urban towns, the land area available is very less and the norms of construction are very rigid. So, people are forced to leave 50% of the plot free of construction to satisfy the rules. – Murali architects

Dr.Shanthi wanted to live in a peaceful and quiet place in the busy, crowded and environmentally abused industrial town , Tirupur, near Coimbatore in TamilNadu. She along with her sister chosen two properties in a gated community for middle income group. – Murali Architects
This building located in a small urban property at the heart of Raja annamalaipuram is an effort to give the hospital building a urban façade with the integration of landscape at various levels. The building has integrated an inviting landscape with a small plaza in the front for patients and children. – Murali Architects
This residence located at t.Nagar is the free wheeling layout that responds to the site by giving each room with a view – a distinct character. Catering to the large family, the central common area the living / dining and family living forming a dynamic focus for the house with double height spaces and spatial drama.
This “VILLA” at Manapakkam is formed by simple planar geometry and varying levels combining office with a residence.The residence is designed for a family of five, giving a contemporary look. The clarity were the paramount for the design mass and good integration with the landscape. Entering the house is the foyer with the flight of steps taking to the raised living.
This sculpture has been positioned in a residential zone in Coimbatore, with a rustic yet futuristic parametric façade. Privacy being the most required factor, the façade gets a rustic double skin. And a search for newness with composite construction technique gave way for this. And this was a crucial step, coming out of the indigenous way and breaking into novelty.
We, at Murali Architects, took it up as a very serious effort and did it as free cosultancy without charging. We felt that the dead requires a better respect than the ones that is been offered at present electric crematoriums. we created series of pyramids and mandapams on the banks of the river cauvery which will create the desired moods to gather, cry, mourn, pray, pay respects, do the last rites and part with heart filled with the wonderful thoughts of the departed.
The residence was to be designed for a family of a father, a mother and a teenage son. This residence is located at the sub urban zone with houses located close by with no great scope of views. Hence, one way to give the house a good ambience was to provide views by designing many courts inside the house.
This villa at Manpakkam is formed by simple planar geometry and varying levels of Residence. The clear defined masses and a well delineated geometry of the building gives it a grand facade and an effective system for low building maintainance too. The clients turned out as NATURE LOVERS and had good beliefs in concepts like recycling, conserving energy, and use of natural materials etc. They wanted a house that shared its space with nature, native plants, birds, and hugged natural cycles, ecology and order to its bosom.
The design solution aims at creating an open plan, wherein the elderly mother can manage and entertain the children successfully throughout the day till Mrs.&Mr.Justin who are IT professionals come back home. There is a study planned at the mid level and two bedrooms in the upper level.
Abstract, geometric, angular, twisted with rough and smooth surfaces a house that will trigger curiosity and intrigue. House that has variations in terms of light and shade , colour, form, etc. This residence at Indira Nagar for a family of six, contains many levels with a swimming pool at the terrace, shuttle court, sauna, jacuzzi and other facilities.
This 2000Sq.ft interior project has a bright and inviting colour scheme off-white, yellow and grey. The colour scheme and the use of glazed and partly glazed partitions is to create a feeling of spaciousness. The design approach here was to go beyond rigid compartmentalized sterile interior design. The focus was exploring curvilinear forms and spaces.
