Peeyush Sekhsaria
Peeyush Sekhsaria is a Delhi-based independent development professional who works in the domains of natural disasters and natural resource management. He completed his B. Arch from BKPS CoA in Pune, studied M. Arch in Earthen Architecture at CRATerre in Grenoble, France, and did an M. Phil in Geography from Sorbonne in Paris.
His writings have been published in various publications in different languages, including The Indian Express Eye, The Wire Science, The Wire, Hindu Businessline, Sanctuary Asia, Round Glass Sustain, Moneycontrol.com, The Mint, Outlook Traveller, The Hindu Youngworld, Bhavatal, and more.
Peeyush has authored "Paanch Pairo Wali Hathi" (The Elephant with 5 Legs), published by Ektara and recently released at the 2024 World Book Fair, co-authored two children's books, Our Tigers Return and Hamara Godavan, Hamari Shaan' (on the critically endangered Great Indian Bustard), published by the respective NGOs involved. He photographed for the book The Kailas at Ellora - a Misunderstood Masterwork, published by Mapin and illustrated for the book Tales from the Tail End - My Cancer Diary, published by Speaking Tiger. Peeyush has also co-created two environment education games: 'Snake-A-Doo,' a snakes and ladders type game on snakes and snake bites, and 'Shell Shocker,' a trump card type game on the turtle and tortoise diversity of India.
