The design of the Alma Mater School celebrates Jodhpur’s traditional crafts and artisans. The partnership with Hunnarshala Foundation was to develop a campus that represents their values and helps create creative opportunities for learning and teaching.
Nestled amidst a sprawling plot, this residence is designed such that minimal heat could penetrate inside but at the same time maximum natural light and ventilation floods the interior spaces. The site nests in the outskirts from the main city, in a developing residential area, with the north-east, southeast & south -west side abutting the road.
The residence was designed by Ravi and Nupur Architects, in a row-house type alignment with shared wall, and two separate entrances for the two blocks. Both the entrances open to a grand patio, with a garden and an entrance porch for each, as required by the client.
