Brimming with new developments and destination retail experiences it is being developed under the Smart City project. Located on the Metro interchange station this mall is home to a six-screen mega multiplex. Circumscribing a large atrium, the cinema is fronted by retail & flanked by a generous food court. Rejuvenation Project such as the Howard Plaza is perhaps a glimpse into the fate of many buildings in the near future. (fig 1) As countries develop, new builds seem to pop up everywhere, but once this brown field development starts to saturate and the economic growth stagnates, these buildings need to be revitalised. The client is the person in charge of Xining “no man’s land” music activity brand. They have planned artists’ performances and held music parties in many small and big music bars to spread music culture. However, because they were using other people’s venues, they always encountered various restrictions and had to tolerate and compromise in the process. So they decided to create a space with their own character, so that they could curate their label work freely. PHASE is defined as the phase position, which is the position of a wave at a particular moment in its cycle. Be it be the Coloured bulbs at the ceiling level, the coined interior wall, Herring and bone pattern flooring, semicircular blind arches depicting the Venice streets or the alternative patterns of stone cladding. – Space Race Architects
