House of Commons, by Cochin Creative Collective, is a Permeable Building- the datum, as the lifeline of the project, connects all the site edges with the built through unique, contextual gestures.
Cochin Creative Collective ~ Originally built as a working class residence set in the rural outskirts of Thiruvalla amongst sugar cane farms. The 1990 house is a typical single floor, flat concrete slab house, 9 grid in plan where private rooms are arranged around a central hall. Arched openings, plain plastered walls, sloped shading slabs and centrally placed identical windows comprises its exteriors, a typical house found in the state of Kerala even today.
Cochin Creative Collective were asked to produce a design for the house which would better satisfy the client’s needs both in terms of aesthetic and requirement.
Pure Allure in Panampily Nagar, Kochi by Cochin Creative Collective – The programme for the project was a flagship store on handcrafted jewellery for the brand Pure Allure which specialises in precious handcrafted jewellery from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
