The new office of SOTI Inc at Gurgaon serves as its headquarters for the Asia Region. The 51,000 Sqft office space with capacity to seat 450 plus employees has been designed to create a workplace which not only inculcates creativity but also promotes a fun and learning environment. The Design Strategy attempts an alternative approach to Workplace Interiors.
The new office building was conceived with the objective to insert a creative and ingenious building in this banal urban milieu. The project was conceived with the objective to create the perception of a vast expanse of space within a constrained and small site.
The corporate head office for the MKM group works on the idea of transparency, and a shared workspace. Peripheral cabins in glass frame a notional central ‘courtyard’ like space that opens out to the green terrace through the glass walls of the boardroom. This arrangement offers a feeling of privacy and yet retaining transparency. The cool palette of grey stained cement board, poured concrete and glass becomes a frame for the sculpted furniture in CNC cut stacked plywood and hand cast custom designed, brass suspended lamps. – Studio Lotus
Office for Wellspun Energy Private Limited at Mumbai by Sameep Padora and Associates: The design of most work spaces are plagued by the monotony of the manifestation of notional efficiency. There is enough documented evidence that the happiest work spaces most conducive to creative thinking are those that foster interaction. Our design for the Welspun Energy head office in Mumbai mimics traditional village open space/courtyard structures in an attempt to create non-hierarchical social spaces that encourage dialogue between the staff.
Modernized contemporary interior design with utilization of eco friendly materials have been idealized for designing the interior of the atelier. The interiors were designed with ground ideation of “sustainability”. Reclaimed Metal corrugated and timber sheets which are locally sourced materials serves the centerpiece of the design which are cladded on walls, ceiling and floors certainly prevents heat and sound insulation in the interior, innovatively beautifies the outlook of the innards.
The approach of our design was to investigate the notion of identity (corporate, organisational and individual) and its urban projection.To this end, we explored, semiotically, the most common idiom of identity, the thumbprint. The shimmering, fluttering, red screen perforated with the company’s logo is an idiom for its “digital identity”.

The requirement was of two cabins, conference room, accounts room, toilets and pantry with about 2 dozen workstations.The office is influenced by “Minimalist approach” with NO “Heavy Interiors”. However, Contrast Colour combination is used. The materials used in the office is of the highest level of material available in the market. – Horizon Design Studio
