EJ120 exhibition of models at the InCITE Gallery

The 119 models of the works of Le Corbusier (1887-1965) exhibited here are from the private collection of RT+Q Architects, Singapore.
The models are the products, discoveries and observations of interns. Through the years. it has been a ‘tradition’ for RT+Q interns to spend their first week studying and building a scaled model of a Le Corbusier project. Rather than filling up minds with lessons, the aim is to open them up and acquaint the aspiring architects with the diverse design legacy of perhaps the most encyclopedic architect of the 20th century. The models, like its companion, LC150+, which is currently serving the “Western Route”, EJ119 covers the “Eastern Corridor”. With over 300 models (and counting), we have been told it is the largest private collection there is.
These travelling exhibitions are also endorsed by the Foundation Le Corbusier, Paris. The exhibition brings Le Corbusier to all. The models lend everyone priceless insights-today and beyond. They stand as testimonies to and are physical manifestations of the passion and energies of interns.
We now offer these models free of charge to institutions interested in the works of Le Corbusier and Modernism. There is no commercial interest in these exhibitions for RT+Q We only ask for hosts to arrange and cover transportation costs from the previous host. Through 29 exhibitions to date, we have found this arrangement to be a viable and sustainable one.
