Dover Park Penthouse, Calcutta-Kaushik Mukherjee 1

In a very up market area of Ballygunge in Kolkata, this apartment on the top floor, had a abundance of natural light and ventilation. With hardly any internal partition to segregate spaces , it almost felt like a large hall with bedrooms attached at the far ends. Keeping in mind the usage and functional aspects, minimal intervention was done to define spaces.

A large living/bedroom space along with utilities such as Laundry etc was added on the terrace in steel temporary structure. A unique blend of old world colonial architecture in Kolkata and a classic contemporary look has been attempted for this project.
