About the Role

Thirdspace Architecture Studio is seeking a Research, Documentation, and Communication Assistant to join our team in Pune. This hybrid role balances remote focus with collaborative studio environments.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the intersection of architectural practice, research, and public narrative. You will collaborate directly with our design teams to archive the studio’s design processes, conduct contextual research, manage our digital platforms, and articulate our spatial ideas to the wider world.

Key Responsibilities

1. Research & Archival Documentation

  • Conduct independent contextual, historic, site, and material research to support active design projects.
  • Systematically document the studio’s design evolution, from early sketches and conceptual models to built forms.
  • Author clear, precise project narratives, site reports, and analytical case studies.

2. Strategic Communication & Content Management

  • Curate and manage the studio’s digital presence, including website updates, project galleries, and publication archives.
  • Translate complex architectural layouts, technical details, and design philosophies into compelling visual and written narratives for social media.
  • Maintain the studio’s distinct editorial voice across all public communication channels.

3. Layouts & Studio Support

  • Utilise graphic and office tools to format high-quality project portfolios, research dossiers, and client presentations.
  • Assist in coordinating day-to-day administrative documentation and media inquiries.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional experience in architectural research, design journalism, content curation, or a related studio support role.
  • Editorial Skills: Exceptional written and spoken English, with a sharp eye for copyediting, layout layout flow, and architectural terminology.
  • Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in standard office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and foundational skills in graphic tools to clean up layouts and visually curate digital media.
  • Mindset: Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a hybrid environment. A deep curiosity for material culture and spatial storytelling is essential.
