Gender and Academic Leadership in Architecture in India – Symposium at Avani Institute of Design

Avani Institute of Design, Calicut, recently convened a research symposium on the topic of Gender and Academic Leadership in Architecture in India, which proposed to examine the engagement of women and persons of minoritized genders and sexualities in the construction of the academy, architectural knowledge, professional identity, and academic practice. The symposium was convened by Anuradha Chatterjee, Kush Patel and Madhavi Desai.  The Instant Proceedings bring together 24 position statements on feminist forms of leadership in architecture academia that we each presented at the closing roundtable.
