Santiniketan Included in the World Heritage List

Santiniketan, located in West Bengal, India, has been included in the prestigious World Heritage List. This recognition highlights the historical and cultural significance of Santiniketan, particularly its association with the renowned poet and Nobel laureate, Rabindranath Tagore.

Speaking on the news, Shikha Jain, from DRONAH, said,

It is a pleasure to represent India as a bureau member and Rapporteur for the 45th World Heritage Committee Session and to witness significant sites of outstanding universal value being inscribed on the list.
