Deepika Srivastava
Deepika Srivastava is an Ahmedabad-based design historian whose creative practice lies at the intersection of curation, academia, and journalism. Her degrees are in History of Design (MA from The Royal College of Art, London, Sep 2019-Dec 2020, which she graduated with a distinction) and in Interior Design (B.Des. from CEPT University, Jul 2012-Dec 2017). After her MA, she has worked with the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad on government funded crafts sector (USTTAD scheme by the Ministry of Minority Affairs) and on curatorial projects (New Delhi World Book Fair 2024). She is a Visiting Faculty with leading design institutes in India like NID Ahmedabad, RV University (Bengaluru), Chandigarh University, and the upcoming BITS Design School in Mumbai. She has also spoken in international conferences including the Futuring Design Education, IIT-Delhi, Feb 2024; Women in Architecture, London South Bank University (presented online), Jan 2024; What Futures for Design History?, Politecnico di Milano, Nov 2023 etc. Her academic and journalistic writing have been published in ArchitectureLive!, Handbook of Craft and Sustainability in India (Routledge), What Design Can Do, and Kyoorius Designyatra. Her advisory roles include a Trustee position at the Design History Society.
