SGAA Residence is a house cum homestay designed by [ar&de] in Wayanad, Kerala on a tight budget.
This 8,500 sq.ft. residence designed by Charged Voids is a balance between public and private spaces that divides the functions on different levels while maintaining visual connections through the central space.
Residence 2105 in Chandigarh by Studio Mohenjodaro – The new construction was visualised as part of the first floor of the residence, which ultimately was designed to include a living, dining and kitchen space, turning the first-floor space into a comfortable, warm abode.
Designed by Studio Interweave, the building accommodating the Practice’s studio was originally designed as a residence. The Studio considered the project an opportunity to experiment while adhering to a tight budget.
Located in Wayanad, Kerala, Estate Plavu- Private Residence is spread across a forested hillside. Built on sloping land on the side of a mountain, it is inspired by the grammar of Mountain Lodges and the native design aesthetic.
The concept of the project evolved from a close analysis of the family setups of large Indian families in the urban context, thus striving for a perfect balance between private and public spaces and also the interrelation between the generations.
Located in the Corbusian city of Chandigarh, Residence 1065 by Charged Voids is an embodiment of the Congrès Internationaux d’Architecture Moderne, or the CIAM’s principles of modern architecture. Using an open plan and facades that appear to float, the home is designed for a multi-generational family and attempts to fuse traditional spatial planning with modern aesthetics.
Located in Jalan Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Sky Sanctuary Residences is the first nature-inspired residence in the area. Here, vertical township and the rejuvenating tranquillity of nature is seamlessly blended into the concept of lakeside living.
The house, designed for a single old lady and her tenants was devised as a free plan around a central courtyard. The levels & accesses were carefully divided between the lady and the tenants to allow comfort & privacy.
